AI lead qualification agent that asks your questions, scores every lead and books the right ones
An AI lead qualification agent talks to new leads on your website chat, WhatsApp or email straight away. It asks the questions your sales team would ask, scores the answers against your criteria, writes everything to your CRM and books a call when the lead is a fit.
What is an AI lead qualification agent?
An AI lead qualification agent is a conversational assistant that talks to inbound leads, gathers the information needed to judge whether they're a fit and passes qualified leads to sales — often booking the meeting itself. It replaces the first round of back-and-forth emails, asks follow-up questions when answers are vague, and keeps the whole conversation in your CRM so the salesperson starts the call already knowing the context.
Do you need a lead qualification agent?
- "Our salespeople spend hours on calls with leads who were never a fit."
- "Leads that come in at night or on weekends wait until Monday."
- "We ask the same five questions by email before every first call."
- "Our website form is long, and many visitors give up halfway through."
- "The CRM says 'new lead' but nothing about budget, timeline or need."
What do we build?
- A conversation on website chat, WhatsApp or email that starts the moment a lead arrives.
- Your qualifying questions, such as need, budget, timeline, company size and decision-maker, asked naturally rather than as a form.
- Answers to the lead's own questions about your services and prices, taken from your approved information.
- Scoring against your criteria, with the reasons written down so sales can see why a lead was rated as it was.
- Meeting booking in the right salesperson's calendar for qualified leads, and a polite next step for the rest.
- A CRM record with the answers, the score, the conversation and the owner, plus an alert to sales.
How does an AI lead qualification agent work?
- Greet. A new lead starts a chat or sends an email, and the agent replies within seconds.
- Ask. It asks your questions, one at a time, and follows up on vague answers.
- Score. The answers are compared with your criteria for a good-fit lead.
- Book. Qualified leads get a meeting in the right calendar; others get a useful next step.
- Log. Everything is written to the CRM and the salesperson is notified.
What does the agent ask, and what happens next?
| Result | Typical signal | What the agent does |
|---|---|---|
| Qualified | Clear need, budget and timeline that match your criteria | Books a call with the right salesperson |
| Needs a person | Large or unusual request, or unclear answers | Hands over to sales with a summary |
| Not yet | Interested, but no budget or timeline yet | Shares resources and adds to follow-up |
| Not a fit | Service you don't offer, or outside your market | Says so politely, and suggests where to go |
The criteria are yours. We write them down with your sales team and test them on real past leads before launch.
Will leads be put off by talking to an AI?
Not if the conversation is short and useful. Leads mostly want quick answers, and an agent that replies in seconds at 11 pm beats a form that's answered two days later. What puts people off is an agent that pretends to be human, asks twenty questions or won't let them reach a person.
So the agent says it's an AI assistant, asks only the questions that change the outcome, answers the lead's own questions too, and offers a person at any point. We look at where leads drop out of the conversation during the first weeks and shorten it where needed.
Which tools can it connect to?
The agent works with the channels, calendars and CRM you already use. For example:
Whether a tool can be connected automatically depends on its API and your plan, which we confirm during the audit.
What about data privacy and consent?
The agent only collects what your privacy policy covers and what's needed to qualify the lead. Conversations are stored in your CRM, not elsewhere, and the workflow can run on self-hosted n8n. Messaging channels such as WhatsApp have their own rules on when businesses may message people, and the agent is set up to respect them.
How long does it take and what does it cost?
A first lead qualification agent on one channel typically takes 3–5 weeks. Setup starts at $2,500, and monthly care starts at $300 per month. AI model usage is paid to the model provider and grows with the number of conversations; we estimate it with you up front.
Monthly care covers adjusting questions and criteria, reviewing conversations, updating answers and fixing connections. Payments for the build are milestone-based, and the launch includes one month of free bug fixing.
When is a lead qualification agent not a fit?
Good fit when…
- You get a steady flow of inbound leads
- Many of them turn out not to be a fit
- Sales asks the same questions before every call
- Leads arrive outside working hours
Not a fit when…
- You get a few leads a month and talk to all of them
- Every deal is large and relationship-led from the first contact
- There are no agreed criteria for a good lead
- Your form already collects everything sales needs
Frequently asked questions
What does an AI lead qualification agent do?
It talks to new leads on chat, WhatsApp or email, asks the questions your sales team would ask, scores the answers against your criteria, writes everything to your CRM and books a call with the right salesperson when the lead is a fit.
Can the agent book meetings in our calendars?
Yes. It can check availability and book calls in Google Calendar, Outlook or scheduling tools such as Calendly, assigning the meeting to the right salesperson by territory, product or round-robin.
What happens to leads that don't qualify?
They aren't ignored. Depending on your rules, the agent shares useful resources, adds them to a follow-up list or politely explains that the service isn't a fit. Unusual or unclear cases go to a person with a summary.
What's the difference from lead routing automation?
Lead routing works with the information a lead has already given, enriching, scoring and assigning it. A qualification agent holds a conversation to get information the lead hasn't given yet. Many teams use both.
How much does an AI lead qualification agent cost?
At Webziper, a lead qualification agent starts at $2,500 to set up, with monthly care from $300 per month. Model usage is paid to the provider and depends on the number of conversations.
